We are delighted to announce the release of Outfit’s first single ‘Two Islands’. We first heard the band a few months ago with their dark mini-narratives ‘Killer’ and ‘Every Night I Dress Up As You’. While those two songs offered a slightly hidden introduction to the group their subtle transmissions step out into plain view on ‘Two Islands’. The song is slow building, euphoric, and meditates on loneliness, absence and the constant flickering of real life.
At over 6 minutes the song represents a big statement and we’re happy to put the Double Denim name to it. Still to come is b-side ‘Vehicles’, a song that shows another slightly different side to the band, with its funk drawl and warm electronics. Keep an eye out for that.
