This lazy long-drive jam comes from Night Janitors. It has a similarly broken swish and swill to early Broken Social Scene, the same cluttered but propulsive lo-fi vibe, and some pretty serious slackerisms too. A half-spoken vocal ruminates about speeding and thinking about the past. Lonely long drives across America are well-covered by this point, but there’s a romanticism and pioneering spirit that makes it an ever-rich subject captured particularly nicely here.
